Our mission is to help Stroke Survivors with speech, language and communication difficulties to gain more contact with others and to rid them of their social isolation.<\/p>\n

By providing a relaxing environment, with peer support and practical tools to develop new ways of communicating, we will help to rebuild their confidence and reduce their vulnerability. We aim for them to feel that they matter and are valued members of our community.<\/p>\n

We discovered the Crewe and Alsager Stroke Survivors group by accident.<\/p>\n

It was created by Liz Bedson after her own Father suffered a stroke. Liz personally understands the experience and has established the group to allow every participant to enjoy and challenge themselves whilst being amongst people in the same situation.<\/p>\n

The value of this group and their support is immeasurable and for Chris it gave him a target and a purpose: to walk with them on the Snowdon Challenge. Chris made a decision to secure much needed funds that will contribute towards the running of the group and support them in their valuable work. He is doing this for other people and their families knowing how difficult it is when a stroke occurs.<\/p>\n

And he is doing it for himself to prove that he can.<\/p>\n
